Find out if two people actually fit before either one agrees to a date

Most first dates are decided by a photo, and most of them were never going to work. That is somebody's evening, their hope, and their nerve — spent on a person they were never compatible with in the first place.
The client had a clear idea and no product. What they had to hand was a written spec and a set of designs drawn by hand rather than a build-ready design system, which meant nobody could give them a straight answer on what building it would take. They needed one team accountable for the whole thing, not a designer, a mobile shop and a backend contractor pointing at each other.
We told them the design files were a vision, not a plan, and that pretending otherwise would cost them twice. Before we wrote a single screen we built the visual language underneath the pictures — spacing, type, buttons, states — so every screen after it came out consistent.
That put design work in front of build work, which is not what a client wants to hear in week one, and it is why the web and mobile apps look like the same product.
A released dating platform on iPhone, Android and the web, all running off one shared system so a change lands everywhere at once. The matching flow, the scoring, the accounts, the profiles and the release process were all ours. The client never had to hire a second vendor, brief a designer separately, or work out who owned a bug.
“Fast and communicative. Will definitely work with SonetCraft again.”
