What we kept seeing
A clinic with a phone that rang all day and nobody free to answer it. Hiring a receptionist meant a full salary for a problem that only existed for a few hours a day, so the phone kept ringing out.
The bet we made
They asked for an AI that could handle any call. We said build one that can only take bookings.
A receptionist that books reliably is worth paying for; one that attempts everything and fumbles the part that earns money is worse than voicemail, because at least voicemail is honest about what it is.
What shipped
It answers, takes the booking, and hands anything else to a human. Live in two months, and nothing was built that had not been agreed first.
